And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 5:5
I haven't updated this thing since the last day of finals.
What an incredible night that was.
The feeling when I stepped out of my final final was an indescribable sense of freedom.
It was so neat seeing my classmates looking as if a weight had been lifted off their shoulders. They were happy and relaxed for what seemed like the first time in months. I made new friends and shared some laughs and made some memories with the old.
It was a festive night, a very fun night, a night that makes me so excited to return to Memphis and pick up where I left off. For the majority of the law school folks, that was the last time I saw them, that was the last incredible impression and memory I have of them. Will everyone have a spirit of joy when I return? I hope so. Will they be stressed again? I hope not right away.
In this new year, I hope to always hope for the best and hope that good will come of everything. God can use everything and anything for good. I can hope for a good year. And look to him for good things. And like the lesser things I chased in 2009, looking for contentment or fulfillment, the hope I place and hinge on God will not disappoint.
Because he loves me dearly.
Because he fills my heart with love.
Because he reaches the places in my heart in only the way he can to satisfy me in only the way he can.
